Village coaching

  • Village coaching is an offering I created to educate and guide your support circle on how to care for you during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Whether it's just you and your partner or close friends and family- together we will create a nurturing environment where each member learns to provide the essential care, knowledge, and emotional support needed throughout this transformative journey.

Mother’s blessing

  • A Mother's Blessing is a spiritual and ceremonial event to honor and celebrate the expectant Mother as she prepares for childbirth. The focus will be on emotional, spiritual, and physical support for the Mother.

    Rituals performed, include but are not limited to:

    ⊹ Circle of Women: Friends and loved ones gather in a supportive circle, often offering words of encouragement, love, and wisdom.

    ⊹ Candle Lighting Ceremony: Participants light candles symbolizing strength and unity, which are later taken home and lit when the Mother goes into labor.

    ⊹ Blessing or Prayer: Guests offer individual blessings, prayers, or intentions for the Mother’s smooth and healthy birth.

    ⊹ Bead Ceremony: Each participant brings a bead, which is strung together to create a necklace or bracelet that the Mother can wear during labor as a reminder of the support around her.

    ⊹ Foot or Hand Washing: Symbolizing care and nurturing, the Mother’s feet or hands are washed by her closest friends and family.

    ⊹ Belly Painting or Henna: The Mother’s belly is adorned with symbolic or spiritual designs, as a way to honor her body and the baby within.

    ⊹ Affirmations: Recite affirmations to instill strength and positivity.

    ⊹ Massage or Pampering: The Mother is treated to soothing treatments like massage, often done by her guests.

    This can be customized based on the Mother’s beliefs and preferences, creating a personalized, meaningful experience.

nesting party

  • A Nesting Party is a gathering held for an expectant Mother to help her prepare her home for the arrival of her baby. Unlike a baby shower, where gifts are the focus, a nesting party centers around organizing, cleaning, and creating a cozy, welcoming space for both the baby and Mother.

    Key Elements:

    ⊹ Practical Support: Friends and family gather to assist the Mother in getting her home ready for the baby.

    ⊹ Focus on organization: Activities involve cleaning, organizing, and setting up baby essentials.

    Rituals or Activities Performed at a Nesting Party:

    ⊹ Organizing Baby Clothes: Friends help fold, sort, and organize baby clothes, toys, and supplies.

    ⊹ Setting Up the Nursery: Guests assist with arranging furniture, hanging decorations, and setting up the crib or changing table.

    ⊹ Meal Preparation: Participants prepare freezer meals or snacks to ensure the mother has easy-to-make food postpartum.
